What is Auto Driveaway?
|
We are proud to be the industry's largest vehicle delivery provider in the country.
Auto Driveaway has more than 40 offices throughout the United States. Travelers
are looking for vehicle transportation between two geographic points and vehicle
owners have asked us to transport vehicles between the same two points. Our agent
places a qualified traveler into the right car and the match is made. Last year
this part of our vehicle transportation service provided more than 10,000 North
American travelers transportation in more than 8000 vehicles through arrangements
with our offices. We have been assisting travelers since 1952 and have by far the
largest selection of vehicles.
We also provide vehicle relocation services for corporate customers. The services
range from fleet vehicles to CDL trucks. Please contact one of the local offices
for fleet vehicle pricing.

What will it cost? (Standard vehicle delivery service)
|
|
Unlike car rentals, there is no rental charge or usage fee to drive one of our late
model cars. A cash deposit (generally $350 in U.S. dollars) is refundable at our
nearest office or by mail when the destination is reached and the vehicle delivery
is satisfactory. The first tank of gasoline is free. The basic expense is the rest
of the fuel. Food and lodging are normal expenses which would be incurred whether
traveling or at home. If more than one person is traveling with you, the cost of
transportation can easily be cut in half. When sharing expenses like this, Auto
Driveaway is obviously the least expensive way to travel and see America. There
are no hidden expenses.

What about stopovers? (Standard vehicle delivery service)
|
|
You and your agent agree on a routing and time of arrival. We expect that you will
drive no more than eight hours a day. Experience has shown that with rest stops
and meals along the way the average driving distance is 400 miles (650 km) per day.
This driving schedule allows for some en route sightseeing. But please remember
that a signed agreement signifies your intent to abide by the necessary requirements
for reaching the destination in the predetermined amount of time and no side trips

Where do the cars come from? (Standard vehicle delivery service)
|
|
The cars come from many different sources. For example: a corporation who transfers
an executive to another part of the country and needs his car driven to the new
location, or vacationers may want their vehicles delivered south for the winter
or north for the summer. Another corporation may need vehicle transportation to
another salesperson in a different part of the country. Vacations, emergencies and
relocations represent only some of the stories behind the 150,000,000 vehicles on
the road today in the U. S. and Canada.

Where can I go?
|
|
The vehicle transportation industry has grown tremendiuously in the last few years.
With more than 44 offices throughout the U.S., you can go pretty much anywhere in
North America. Approximately 20,000 cars go from one office to another each year
and each one is driven by someone like you. Our offices are set up so that you may
use them to travel from one location to another. Think of the fun you and your traveling
companions will have on the road trip of a lifetime touring North America.

How does Auto Driveaway compare to air travel?
|
|
No contest — it’s less expensive, especially if you really want to see
more of the United States or Canada than the inside of an airport during a two hour
layover. But we still expect you to buckle up.
